Scott Belville
Scott Belville, raised and educated in Georgia, is Professor Emeritus at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, University of Georgia a in Athens. He earned his MFA in painting from Ohio University in 1977 and has exhibited widely, with solo shows at the Jus de Pomme Gallery, Monique Knowlton Gallery, P.S.1, the Greenville County Museum of Art, the Delaware Art Museum, and the High Museum of Art. Belville has received numerous honors throughout his career, including two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, a Georgia Council for the Arts Grant, and a Ford Foundation Grant. His work is represented in both private and public collections, including the permanent collection at MOCA GA.
