BENJAMIN ROUSE

Benjamin Rouse is an American artist known for his evocative works examining entropy, illusion, and personal acceptance. A self-taught artist, his imagery is strongly influenced by the iconography and rituals he experienced within the Mormon temple as a child.

Utilizing mirrors, water, and illusory compositions, Rouse achieves surreal imagery entirely through analog techniques— a practice he describes as "outsourcing to nature." For this reason, he is as much a technical innovator pushing the boundaries of ordinary material as he is an artist in pursuit of sincere, creative expression.
